FRANCO - SUITE LETTRE No. 1

("Choc Choc Choc", CHOC, 1983)

François Luambo Makiadi, know simply as Franco, called the "James Brown" of Africa, is a giant of Congolese music ! During about 30 years, he had been one of the most influential pan-Africain musician, and a very popular figure (4 days of national mourning were declared when he died, October 12, 1989)
This tune features his incredible orchestra, the Tout-Puissant OK Jazz, and vocalists Tabu Ley Rochereau "Seigneur Ley" and Josky.
Dedicated to my bro' Patrick, peace for Zaire.
