WOODY SHAW - SUNBATH

("Love Dance", Muse Records, 1976)

"Sunbath" is a composition of pianist Peggy Stern, originally recorded by trumpeter Woody Shaw on his album "Love Dance".
A good binary rythm, a great theme play by an experienced band : just a piece of groove !
Pay attention to the tenor sax Billy Harper : he isn't solist on this track, but he has an incredible sound... Remember him !

Woody Shaw : trumpet
Steve Turre : trombone
Rene McLean : soprano & alto sax
Billy Harper : tenor sax
Joe Bonner : piano
Cecil McBee : bass
Victor Lewis : drums
Guilherme Franco : percussion
Tony Waters : congas
