Sun Ra recorded "Nuclear War" in 1982, featuring a piano trio over playing smooth & swingin' jazz over which he "rap" lyrics with a lot of vulgarities. He thought he had a hit on his hands and went to Columbia Records. Of course, Columbia rejected it ! So an indie British label published it, originally a 12-inch single.
The title track is known as the best song ever recorded about the nuclear conflict.
