We're in 1971, Stevie Wonder's contract went to expire... Berry Gordy was forced to accept whatever he proposed, if he wanted to keep him on Motown.
So it's a very innovative record, because it's the first in which Wonder had complete artistic freedom in its production... And we all know his talent !
Besides this beautifull ballad was written by Stevie Wonder and his first wife Syreeta Wright.
